Onika earned her J.D. in from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois in 2011. Onika returned to Canada and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in June of 2016 after completing the National Committee on Accreditation Qualification Program and the Ryerson Law Practice Program.
Currently, Onika Angus is a Counsel with the Ministry of the Attorney General seconded at the Ministry of Health/ Ministry of Long-Term Care Legal Services Branch. In this role, she provides advice on a variety of commercial and public law matters including regulated health professions, home care and long-term care, and government contracting and procurement.
For the last two years, Onika has been a member and committed volunteer with the BFLN serving on the Fundraising and Membership Committees. In 2019 she became the chair of the BLFN Membership Committee.
